What is Head Spa

More than a wash. A complete ritual.

Head Spa is scalp and hair care turned into a complete experience: a precise sequence of analysis, touch, steam and aroma that brings deep relaxation and a rare sense of attention. It began in Japan, was refined in South Korea and became known for the ritual at the basin under the golden arch. Here you learn both methods — and how to unite them in one signature service.

01Day 1

Japanese Head Spa

Manual massage, steam and aromatherapy: the slow, deeply relaxing ritual that gives your clients a real pause.

02Day 2

Korean Head Spa

Camera-led scalp analysis, follicle density, hair-cycle phases and progress tracking — then detox and aromatic blends adapted to each case.

03Day 2

Korean Herbal

The spa of plants: herbs, Ayurvedic clays, herbal pindas, hot stones and a foot soak, for a ritual that engages every sense.

The programme

From the first gesture to the final ritual: a complete method.

Two consecutive intensive days connect Japanese technique to diagnosis and the Korean herbal approach — with live-model practice and a clear plan for bringing it into your business.

Day 1

Japanese Head Spa

  • Scalp and hair anatomy
  • Reading the scalp: observation, intake form and assessment of imbalances
  • Precautions, prerequisites and hygiene of equipment and basin
  • Shiatsu manoeuvres (chest, arms, neck, cervical) and acupressure points
  • The complete 5-step protocol, from welcome to final ritual
  • Steam, aromatherapy and high frequency
  • Hands-on workshop with 1–3 live models
Day 2

Korean & Herbal

  • Scalp-camera analysis: follicle density and hair-cycle phases
  • Common scalp conditions and strand health
  • Hair detox, LED therapy and progress tracking
  • Herbs, plants and Ayurvedic clays
  • Pindas, hot stones and foot soak
  • Bringing Head Spa into your business: protocols, pricing, schedule and client retention
  • Second hands-on workshop with live models and individual correction
Each day pairs a morning of theory with an afternoon of practice. You learn the full sequence — from welcome to final ritual — and leave ready to apply it from your very first client.

A day of training

Hands, light and real practice.

Why Renaissance

A training built around the treatment room.

No theory for theory’s sake. Everything you learn is designed to be used with your very first client.

Two methods, one protocol

Japanese ritual and Korean diagnosis woven into a single sequence — relaxation and expertise in the same treatment.

Analysis before touch

Learn to observe the scalp with a camera, explain what you see and tailor each session — so every treatment starts with a conversation, not a guess.

Practice, not demonstration

Live models in every workshop and individual correction from Léia: your hands learn the sequence, not just your notes.

Small groups

Reduced classes keep the attention on your hands, your posture and your pressure.

A trainer who practises what she teaches

Léia runs her own clinics in Geneva and France. What you learn is what she does every day.

Business built in

Protocols, pricing, scheduling and client retention are part of the programme — not an afterthought.

What you get

Everything you need, nothing hidden.

Technique, tools and guidance in one price — so your first client never depends on improvisation.

Renaissance certificate

A certificate that documents your training and supports how you present your professional profile.

Professional kit

Portable microscope/camera, Japanese facial and cranial massage kit, aromatherapy kit, clays and herbs for pindas.

Supplier list

Professional products, décor, furniture and Head Spa basins: where to buy and how to choose.

Support after class

WhatsApp support from Léia and the team as you take your first steps.

You also learn how to choose your equipment — luxury Head Spa bed, waterfall unit or portable basin. Lunch and coffee break are included.

Before you book

Clear answers to the questions that matter.

Have a specific situation? The team can help before you go to checkout.

Do I need prior experience?

No. The training is designed for beauty professionals and career-changers alike: it starts with the fundamentals — scalp anatomy, hygiene, observation — and moves step by step into hands-on practice.

Can I take just one module?

Yes. Choose the complete training, only the Japanese module (Day 1) or only the Korean & Herbal module (Days 1 and 2). All three book directly at checkout. Pick a class date: the Japanese module is the first day of that class only, and the Korean & Herbal module runs across both days (in a class on 10–11, Japanese is the 10th and Korean the 10th and 11th), or use the custom-date option to agree the schedule after purchase. Modules are billed in euros. If you can, we recommend the complete training: the two methods are designed to work together.

What is included?

Both training days; the professional kit (portable microscope/camera, Japanese facial and cranial massage kit, aromatherapy kit, clays and herbs for pindas); the supplier list; your Renaissance certificate; WhatsApp support after class; and lunch and coffee break.

How does each day work?

Japanese Head Spa is on day 1 and Korean & Herbal runs across both days (in a class on 23–24, Japanese is the 23rd and Korean the 23rd and 24th). Each day pairs a morning of theory with an afternoon of practice, 10:00–17:00. The hands-on workshop uses 1–3 live models, with individual correction from the trainer.

In which language is the training taught?

Léia teaches in English, Portuguese, French, German, Spanish and Italian. Tell us your language when you book or in your message, and we confirm the class language with you.

Do I have to buy equipment to get started?

The kit gives you what you need to practise. In class you learn how to choose furniture (bed, waterfall unit or portable basin) and receive the supplier list. If you want a space ready to go, see Head Spa for spas & teams.

How do booking and payment work?

Pick your path and date and continue to secure checkout. In Portugal you can pay in full, with a 25% deposit or in two instalments of 50%; in Zurich, in full, 50% or a 25% deposit. Prefer to talk first? The team is one message away.

Can I start treating clients afterwards?

The training is practical and gives you protocols, materials and a structure to support your first treatments — plus WhatsApp support after class, so you are never starting alone.

Is Head Spa a medical treatment?

No. Head Spa is a wellbeing and scalp-care service. You learn to observe, assess and care for the scalp — and to recognise when a client should be referred to a doctor or dermatologist.
